Come away, little girl, come away with me.
Come away, little girl, come play with me.
I’m Raggedy Ann and I’m covered with dust;
I want to play, little girl, and you must
Come away with me.
Come play with me and we’ll bounce the ball;
It sits so lonely against the wall.
Come play with me and you will see;
We’ll have such fun, just you and me.
If you’ll just come and play.
We’ll gather together all your dollies
And all of us will be gay and jolly!
We’ll forget that we ever had a care
As we dance away with your teddy bear!
I wish you would come and play.
We’ll march to the tune of Jack and Jill
On the music box and we’ll get a thrill
Of playing with all the other toys.
I’ll show you ever so many joys
If you will just come and play.
We’ll even wake up Raggedy Andy
And have a party with lots of candy!
We’ll giggle and grin and screech with glee
If you’ll wake up and play with me.
But you have to open your eyes.
I’ll watch over you as you lie in bed,
While sweet dreams dance in your sleepy head.
I’ll wait for tomorrow, and maybe we’ll see
That you will come have fun with me
And we will play at last.
