God’s Messengers

They say angels are God’s messengers
And they are sent from high above

To help accomplish His good works
And create a perfect love.

As I watch my little cherub sleep
I know she is just a child,

But in her simple innocence
She has turned a harsh man mild.

She is just a very little girl
Lost in dreamy sleep,

But she has moved a strong man
And taught him how to weep.

I know she’s just a little child
She hasn’t been here long,

But she has touched a weak man,
And even made him strong.

So many have awakened
To rejoice and also grieve,

But she does not even comprehend
The miracles she has weaved.

As one of God’s tiny messengers,
Her lesson has been clear.

It has touched us and now we know
She is an angel very dear.
